Zone01 Oujda guide
The curriculum
Structure
Zone01 Oujda describes a 24-month programme: an 18-month on-campus core followed by six months of job preparation in a branch you choose.[1] Zone01 Athens describes the same split: after the 18-month core, every trainee picks a six-month branch.[2]
How you learn
- Project-based, peer-to-peer and gamified, with flexible pacing and no traditional teachers or lectures.[1]
- 01Talent describes the training as 24 months on the 01Edu platform, with more than 100 real-world engineering challenges, including six months of specialised tracks.[4]
- Zone01 Dakar says that about 80% of projects are done in groups, and that projects last from one to twelve weeks.[3]
Languages and technologies
Zone01 Dakar says learners work through Go, JavaScript and Rust during the first 18 months, and also meet C, C++, Ruby on Rails, PHP and Python.[3] 01Talent lists Go, Rust, Python, JavaScript, React, Docker and PostgreSQL among the skills of its engineers, and specialisations such as AI/data, cybersecurity, cloud, mobile, web, blockchain and IoT/robotics.[4]
“Module” and language piscines
In the platform data that 01profile reads, the main curriculum appears as the module, and shorter intensive language blocks are also called piscines (for example Piscine Go, Piscine JS or Piscine Rust). Public student repositories show a “Piscine Rust” whose exercises are published in 01Edu’s public subjects repository.[6][5] The exact list and order of piscines depends on your campus and cohort — your own profile on the platform is the reference.
Public subjects
01Edu publishes many exercise and project subjects in its public GitHub repository, 01-edu/public.[5] The repository notes that some subjects are deliberately ambiguous, as part of the pedagogy.[5]
