Zone01 Oujda guide
The Zone01 network, 01Edu & 01Talent
Three names, three roles
- 01Edu is the pedagogy and the learning platform: peer-to-peer, project-based programmes with “no teachers and no classes”.[2]
- 01Talent is an international talent agency. It says it owns the full chain — cognitive selection, training on 01Edu, and deployment of engineers on missions — and that it was founded in 2018.[1]
- Zone01 is the name of the campuses. Zone01 Dakar, for example, calls itself “a brand of 01Talent”.[4]
Zone01 campuses
01Talent lists five Zone01 campuses across three continents:[1]
- Zone01 Oujda — Morocco (zone01oujda.ma)[3]
- Zone01 Athens — Greece; its site describes a four-week Piscine, two years of training and three years of paid employment with the talent agency.[5]
- Zone01 Kisumu — Kenya[1]
- Zone01 Dakar — Senegal; launched in partnership with Atos, on a campus at Cité Keur Gorgui.[4]
- Zone01 Rouen — France; its programme is branded Start01, at the Campus Saint Marc in Rouen.[6][7] Applicants sign up on the 01Edu platform at zone01normandie.org.[8]
Partner academies
01Talent also lists partner academies that train on the 01Edu platform, including Reboot01 (Bahrain), grit:lab (Åland), 01Founders (United Kingdom), NextEra (Egypt), Learn2Earn (Nigeria), Tomorrow School (Kazakhstan) and Ynov (France).[1]
Scale, in their own words
These are self-reported figures from the organisations’ own websites: 01Edu cites more than 120,000 candidates in its selection programmes, 13 countries and more than 5,000 selected learners trained.[2] Zone01 Oujda states that the pedagogy has been deployed in more than 40 countries.[3]
